About us

Six people, three couples, one shared love for Flateyri

We are six people from the worlds of film, sport, hospitality, business and live events, brought together by a shared love for Flateyri.

The six owners of Vagninn Cabins celebrating in front of the cabins

Several of us have owned and operated Vagninn since 2017. Through concerts, dinners and community events, we kept seeing the same thing: people loved coming to Flateyri, but there were too few places for them to stay. The nine cabins on Melagata felt like the missing piece.

With Vagninn Cabins, our aim is to offer more than a bed for the night: the space and time to experience Flateyri properly, and perhaps to stay one day longer than planned.
